Q - What is the status of Hahnemann College of Homeopathy in UK?

This is a confirmation of recognition by the UK Government and HCH is officially listed amongst Colleges, Institutions & Universities providing Higher Education in the United Kingdom. The College was founded in 1980 and since then has been successfully running various graduate and post-graduate courses.

Q – Are there any exams?
A: The PG Hom Course along with being Clinical and Thesis based learning also has an academic focus and therefore exams are required to assess your progress. There will be one Exam (MCQ/Long Answers) exam after submission of Thesis. There will be one Viva Exam which will primarily be based on your Thesis topic and submitted case studies.

Q – Does the qualifications allow me to register with a professional homeopathy organization?
A: Yes. The Society of Homeopaths, the Alliance of Registered Homeopaths and the Homeopathic Medical Association are the main registering bodies in the UK. As we are recognized by HMA so it will be easier for us to help obtain Practicing Registration license etc as the students will be trained by a college recognized by the same authority (HMA).

Q: Can any other graduates who are not qualified Homeopaths but still practicing homoeopathy enroll for this course?
A:
No, the course is strictly for people who have a valid graduate Post Graduation Course in Homeopathy. However qualified Health Care Professionals from other streams like MBBS, BAMS, etc can join the course but it does not certify them to practice Homeopathy. Hobby practitioners cannot attend this course.


Q: How will the clinical training of the students be conducted?
A:
The students with assistance from their respective guides will practically learn the clinical applications of various homeopathic principles. Our course encourages students to apply these principles in real life and to learn from the successes and failures of their own and others experiences, both as homeopaths and as practitioners.
Additionally the lectures, workshops, seminars and homoeopathic camps, etc. will make them more confident in prescribing as an effective homoeopath.

Q: Can the students choose their own guides from the esteemed faculty members?

A:
Yes, in fact each candidate has the choice to choose his PG Guide, who will help them throughout the tenure. However each Guide can take a limited number of students for teaching so that he/she can give personal attention to each student.
In addition if the student wishes to know about the working pattern of other guides, it will all be available online under discussion forum wherein a student can come to know about his counterparts not only in Mumbai but all over the globe.


Q: Is this course similar to the MD in Homeopathy currently available in India?
A:
This course is in no way related to the MD COURSE in homoeopathy apart from the fact that this is a post graduation course but offered by Hahnemann College of Homeopathy, London.

Q: Is this course recognized in India?
A:
The course is similar to any other postgraduate course done from abroad. Since the course is not offered by an institute in India it is not listed under Schedule I & II of HCC Act 1973. Till date it is not recognized by Central Council Of Homeopathy in India.

Q: What are the payment options?
A:
The student must pay the fees by either by Cheque or Demand Draft drawn in the name of ‘Enlightenment Education Pvt. Ltd.’. We also have an option wherein the student can pay fees in 3 installments in the form of PDCs (Post Dated Cheques)

Q: Who can join?
A: Homeopaths with following qualifications – LCEH, DHMS, BHMS, MD can join the course. Plus people with all qualifications listed under HCC Schedule I and II can apply for PG Hom, London course.

Q: Can I pursue other courses along with this course?
A: Yes, The structure and teaching method of the course is such you can purse it simultaneously along with other courses or practice.

Q: Where do the workshops/seminars take place?
A:
The workshop will be conducted in air conditioned conference rooms with state of art facilities like AV Projectors, Connections for Laptops, etc.

Q: What if I am not able to attend a particular worksop/session?
A:
Do not worry. Each workshop/seminar will be video-graphed and uploaded online. These can be accessed by the students after logging in and so can have complete material from the website.

Q: Will I be able to communicate with the instructor or other students?

Q: Will these courses enable me to prescribe and compound homeopathic remedies?
A: The completion of the Online Homoeopathy Course does not entitle any person to practice Homoeopathy if he/she is not a Qualified Registered Homoeopathic Practitioner.

Q: What certification will I receive on completion of course?
A:

Q: Is clinical homeopathy taught in PG Hom, London course?

Q: What is the examination pattern?
A: All students appearing for PG Hom. London course will be evaluated on the following basis – Examination (MCQ pattern)
There will be two exams individually for Core Subjects and Elective Subjects separately.
- Thesis submission
- Viva based on the thesis topic


Q: What grades are needed to successfully complete the course?
A: To successfully complete the PG hom course the student must get at least 60% marks in examination and subsequently clear the Viva.


Q: Can I reappear for the exams if I do not get passing grades in first attempt?
A: In case a student fails to get 60% marks in examination; he/she can reappear for the exams with the next batch


Q: Where will the convocation ceremony be held?

A: Convocation and awards ceremony will be held in India itself. However the students have the option to visit the parent college – Hahnemann College of Homeopathy in London, UK to receive the Post Graduation Course in Homeopathy certificates.

1st Installment – Rs. 35,000 Cheque/DD at the time of admission.
Remaining two installments are in the form of Post Dated Cheques, which are to be submitted at time of admission.
2nd Installment – Rs. 30,000, cheque dated 3 month from date of admission .
3rdInstallment – Rs. 20,000, cheque dated 6 months from date of admission . Along with this a cheque on service tax of 12.36% on 85000 which is Rs 10506/-

Q: What is a Refund Policy?

A:
REFUNDS TO STUDENTS RESIGNING FROM THE COURSE:

The General Fee, which includes students assessed fees and non-resident fees, is refundable in accordance with the following schedule when a student resigns from the University after completing the registration process.

Before Classes begin 90% refund
First day through the Fifteenth day of class 75% refund
Sixteenth day of class through the thirteethday of class 50% refund
Thirtyfirstday of class to the end of the semester No refund

EXCEPTION TO POLICY BASED ON MITIGATING CIRCUMSTANCES:

Any exception to this policy based on mitigating circumstances such as an accident or other extreme occurrences must have prior approval of the Course Coordinator. In all other instances, the regular refund policy shall apply.
